CBC News John Murray Melanson, who also faces one count of possessing child pornography, appeared in territorial court in Yellowknife Tuesday morning. Melanson's legal aid lawyer was not present at Tuesday's hearing, so no date for a preliminary hearing could be set at that time. Crown prosecutor Michael Himmelman told the court that a preliminary hearing could be lengthy, considering there would be testimony from as many as 10 Crown witnesses, some of whom are children. The court proceedings might require a special sitting of the court in Hay River, Himmelman said. Melanson, who went by the nickname "Fester," moved to Hay River in the summer of 2006, but fled the community in January 2007 amid rumours that child pornography had been found on his personal computer. He was arrested in Toronto a month later for violating a court order. Toronto police have told CBC News that Melanson has an extensive criminal record that includes convictions for various sex-related charges. Melanson was convicted on the court order charge and was sentenced to time served. He was then escorted to Yellowknife, where he remains in custody. He is due back in court on Dec. 16. August 12 Give child predators no breathing room.You know its been months since "fester has been arrested, and while there was a flurey of news for a short while, it all died out, no longer a hot story I guess. Thats a shame, I see a chance for these newpapers and everyone that was running this story to really make a difference. Child pornography all related abuses against children should be a national top ranking story at all times. Yes they caught John Murray Melanson, he's one sicko off the street, how many are left out there. Thousands, thats how many. Montreal is a haven for these sickos just read this link Montreal Haven for Pedophiles , I think Montreal should be ashamed of this fact. They tolerate this kind of behaviour, I'm not saying that all quebecers are bad, nor am i saying that all montrealers are allowing these perverts to exist in Montreal, but i can't for the life of me understand why Montrealers aren't totally up in arms about this and doing something about it. Our court system here slaps these guys on the wrists, while in the states they get 20 year + for major crimes against children, we need to change the laws up here to reflect the great harm these sickos are doing to these children. The servers that allow these sites on their system should be ashamed and made to report any type of child porn to the authorities, this should be mandatory.
Now I always call myself just a redneck, not to smart when it comes to legal things, and my brain sure doesn't work the way it used to before the accident, and there are alot of people that are alot smarter than I am when it comes to all that legal stuff, but damnit, why aren't these "smarter people" using using their heads and changing the laws to make it alot harder on these guys. Lets see, can you say $10,000.00 for any webservers having child porn on their servers first time offense. Second offence say $25,000.00. Am willing to bet that these servers would be turning in these perverts damn fast. In turn you take these fines, and pass them to the child exploitation units of the R.C.M.P. and beef up their budgets, cause they need it and they do fantastic work. Now for the sickos themselves, You got kiddie porn on your computer, manditory 5 years sentence for first offence, 10 for second and so on. No time off for good behavior, you serve the time, all of it. Upon release from jail you are on parole for the same amount of time you served with a g.p.s. braclet on, you know the tracking bracelets, you break parole your back in. You molest a child, same thing but longer sentences. Why do the law makers in this country slap these guys on the wrists and trust them not to do it again. They've already shown they can't be trusted. Make them pay BIG TIME for this type of crime, send a clear and hard message that it will not be tolerated anymore.
If more Canadians took up this fight, more canadians alot smarter than I am, those who know how to make the changes that are required, change the laws to give these pervs no breathing room, no servers on the internet to spread their ideas and filth, basically change the laws to make it hurt them as much as it hurts the children. There are those canadians that know how to make a difference, spell it out for me and this redneck will do what he can to make sure these laws get changed. Thats all I have to say about that.

For professional reasons, criminologist Pierre Tremblay would not disclose who the J.M. was in his study, but a comparison of the criminal record of a notorious pedophile named John Murray Melanson leaves little doubt he was the person interviewed. In 2000, while he was a member of the Montreal Ganymede Collective, described as a group of 50 to 60 pedophiles based in this city, Melanson sexually assaulted a 6-year-old boy from a western Montreal suburb. The J.M. in the study told Tremblay that Ganymede leaders made efforts to screen out pedophiles who posed a high risk to act on their attractions to children. But he also said the group had a "You don't tell and we won't ask" kind of policy when rumours surfaced about fellow members.
Besides being sentenced to a 30-month prison term for the sexual assault, Melanson was placed under a lifetime prohibition order on Aug. 31, 2000. It forbids him to be near playgrounds, daycares, schools and pools where children swim, and bars him from taking a job or volunteering for a position that would put him in a position of authority over anyone under age 14. According to court records, Melanson moved to Winnipeg after completing his sentence and was arrested for possessing child pornography. In that case he was sentenced in 2006 to time served and placed under another court order, this time forbidding him to access the Internet for three years or from using encryption software, which protects the confidentiality of data stored on a computer disk. Melanson, who likes to be called Fester, moved to Hay River, in the Northwest Territories, late last year, where he settled into a job at a hotel. Despite the court order filed in Montreal, he is alleged to have volunteered to teach students at a high school and to play Santa Claus at a public library. He suddenly disappeared this year. While the RCMP in the Northwest Territories conducted a search for Melanson, new allegations involving two boys emerged. A warrant charging him with two counts of sexual assault on minors and possession of child pornography was issued. Melanson was recently arrested in Toronto.
So In other words, this sicko pervert freak has been "trusted " so many times and yet he keeps skipping out on his parol just to molest more children? Sorry ( excuse my language here ) But What the fuck is wrong with our court system that is allowing this to happen repeatedly. Holy shit, the court system in our country is a joke. We recently got a new system in place stating that anyone volunteering to work around children have to have a criminal check done, thats one step in the right direction for the good guys. In this article a officer with the sex crimes unit in Torornto told the reporter that John had breach his parole and he was on overlapping paroles. I take this to mean that he had been senteneced at leas twice, and had violated both paroles. Ok heres the problem I have with this. The man has become a repeat offender, already convicted twice, and yet he is "Trusted " to report to his parole officer. Ummmm does this make sense to anyone, he has already shown he can't be trusted, never mind the fact what he has done to children ( will leace this alone for this ) but the fact that he broke both paroles, should prove that he can Never be "Trusted" again. GPS its a wonderful system and can be put on anyone. Wanna know where he is, push a button and there he is, oh look, he's not where he is suppose to be, he's breached again and time to bring him in. What do you mean he left the province without telling anyone, thats ok, we know where he is. Its really that simple and the technology is there to do this. I realize this sounds a bit 1984 orwellish, but i'm not talking about the guy that serves his time, and never repeats it here, i'm talking about the repeat offenders that have proven they can't be "trusted" Won't even mention the fact that whoever breaks the rules ( can you say 3 strikes your out? ) Dangerous offender status i believe is truly warranted in this case as he has proven time and time again, he can't be "trusted "
Some people might say i'm a bit extreme, but tell this to the children and the families have been forever changed by people like this. Thats all i have to say about this today.

My rule of thumb, if your kids are putting things on the internet for everyone to read, you as their parent have the right to read it as well. Kid are way to trusting on the net, giving out way to much info, work with your children to make them understand the dangers of talking to people they do not know on the internet. The internet can be a great tool, however the pervs use it as well. One Major change in Hay River here is that ANYONE volunteering in our school system now MUST go thru a criminal background check, this should prevent anymore "accused " "alleged" perps getting to teach our children.

Randy March 04 I guess i'm an "antiPerv" and proud of itAlways figured I was a very "open minded" type of person, but somethings i just can't Accept. What people do in the privacy of their own home, between two consenting adults is their business. Over the last few weeks, i've learnt more about how truly sick this world can be that I ever wanted to know. Been doing alot of reading and visited alot of websites, and i have a couple for you . ( This better not get me into trouble lol ) so here are the links that i have had the pleasure of reading and hopefully it will make some people aware of all the sicko's out there in the world. http://iluv2surf.blogspot.com/ is a very imformative site, also http://www.perverted-justice.com/ is another great site, both have my thanx for being out there, even if I think its a damn shame that these type of sites have to exist in the first place. However that being said, i'm sure they would love to shut themselves down when they are finished everything they are trying to accomplish, alas, I can't see that being anytime soon, as long as there is a need for these type of sites.
Everyone can claim freedom of speech, everyone has the right to say what they like, Hey i agree with that, As long as this "freedom of speech" thing doesn't include the right to harm children. Who's to say what harms children, the general public I guess, general concenus, whatever you want to call it. I have the right to write on this blog, and if I want to call my government down for their policies, that is my right as an individual. When does free speech step over the line. Take the KKK, Do they have the right to freedom of speech? Some would say yes, but I believe that the internet should not be a place to spread hate literature. Do i have the right to say I want to kill everyone in my government and talk about my plans to do just that thing, well if I did, i'd expect the men in the black cars to come and take me away for a serious chat or two. So in todays world with all the terrorism and such going on, if I decide talk about nuclear weapons and using them on my own government, then yes, i could expect that my using the freedom of speech blah blah excuse wouldn't work, and i could expect the visit from the men in black. Reading about the websites that i have been reading about, such as Boychat, a site where pedophiles can talk about their lifestyles, I'm sorry, but we're talking about children here, and the people exploiting them. Do they have a right to these type of sites, I believe NOT. Now before any of you start with me on do the Gays and Homosexuals have the right to be on the web, yes they do, because that is between two "Consenting Adults" Adults, thats the key word. If you are in a homosexual relationship with another "Consenting Adult" go for it, and live your life in contentment. What we are talking about here is grown men and women talking about harming children. Notice its never "Concenting children " Its "Consenting Adults" They can whitewash it all they like, but this is not a relationship between two "consenting Adults" this is a relationship between an adult and a child. These sites have to be found and taken off the internet, just the same as any site that published Hate material does. I do not have the right to harm a child, and no-one should. We're not only talking about physical abuse here, we're talking about emotional abuse as well, and these sites are talking about it in ways that seem to make them think its an ok thing to do. Well guess again you sicko pervs, the keys to the jail cell should be thrown away after your placed inside of it. Is there a place for adult/child love in this world? Yes, but we're not talking about the adult child love that these sites talk about. I love my children, as every parent does, and as I am sure every parent would say, god help the person that would attempt to harm my children.So beware out there perverts, there are sites looking for you, and hopefully they will catch up with you all.

Randy more, no more blogging about certain peopleOk this "should" be the last time i talk about the person i'm not suppose to, yup John Murray Melanson, aka John "fester" Murray Melanson. First off, thank you to the people that have left messages for me in regards to this person, its nice to know i had a small part in making a difference, and hopefully more people will find out all about everything that has happened. I'd like to thank K & L for all their help, without who's help John never would have been located and arrested. Now a comment was posted about my sending out three pictures of John, I have one picture which I took here at x-mas, before the history of this man became common knowledge. The other two pictures that were commented on were not my posting as i believe one of the pictures is one that John himself used on Boychat. My feeling is, if he used the picture, then anyone has a right to show it, he put it on the internet for everyone to see. The R.C.M.P. have done a fantastic job, along with the Toronto Police, and the child exploitation team, Huge Kudo's, thank you. Of course assuming if everything he is "accused" of, he is guilty of, well I think dangerous offender is a term that should be used. Anyways thats all i have to say.
Randy February 28 No more blogging in regards to certain peopleHowdy all, alot of people have tried visiting my site in regards to a certain individual, this is the story of why its not there. I was asked politely to take it off, by members of our national police force. I Complied, simple as that. I know there are lots of decent people out there, worried about their own children. If you have been in any contact with this man, please call your local R.C.M.P. and give them the details. Randy November 06 Being strict with your childrenGot into a discussion today with a co-worker about raising kids today, and the different parenting styles that people have. I mentioned that I hold my children responsible for their actions, he said my kids must think i'm to strict. So I came home, talked it over with my son, he said, nope I dont' think so, you were more strict when i was younger than you are now. I think thats a growing up thing, and due to the fact he's making more and more the right choices in life. Anyways my co-worker figured that my punishments were harsh when he is caught doing something that he shouldn't be. Now for those that don't know my son is 16, in grade 12 and actually a decent kid. We've had our run ins, and he's been busted a couple of times for some really stupid shit, ie: staying out all night drinking. Was he punished, hell yes, a month grounding. Will give him credit, he did the crime he did the time without to much complaining. If its something major like that, damn rights they get it hard, punishement wise that is, a month grounding the first time, and 3 months the second time, so far there hasn't been a second time. May sound harsh, but it works. I hold him responsible for what he does, and he knows that there are things that i will accept and things i won't, and the things i won't he knows better than doing. Not to say he hasn't, just saying that he knows if he's busted for it, shit will hit the fan. have seen some parents just brush it off, oh its a phase, or well thats just them. Bullshit, sorry but not here to be my sons bestest friend, am here to show him how to act like an adult and take responsibility for himself. I feel that at no matter what age, kids need to know they have rules, and boundries that they better not cross, if they do, they suffer the consequences of it. Been thru this recently within my own family , where two differing parenting styles led to many fights. Sorry but I won't change my way for anyone, and if a child feels they can talk to me like i'm their personal bitch, damn rights they are going to be punished. By accepting it, your just saying that its acceptable behavior, and they will continue to do it. Making them unaccountable for their actions is like giving them a liscence to do and act anyway they want, and while it might be tolerable for a while, people soon get tired of it, and no longer want anything to do with them. Kids arent' stupid, they know what they can get anway with and what they can't, but be a responsible adult, and teach them boundries, what is acceptable behavior and what isn't, before they are 16, and pregnant, and/or in jail, because as an adult, they will be held responsible, and that reflects on the parenting. November 05 RelationshipsEver notice how relationships can get screwed up by one simple thing, and its usually called the truth. The concept is an easy one but in reality, its alot harder to practice. Done a lot of things and have said alot of things in my life that I haven't been very proud of, have hidden things from a loved one, and have said some nasty things to loved ones. Have I ever lied to a loved one, yes, and not just the little white lies either. Have been taking a good hard look at my life lately, and have started to deal with the deep down inside shit that we all have. Alot of truths and alot of unanswered questions have come out of it. With the truth, comes the resposibility for your actions, and suffering the consequences of those actions. Have I done wrong in my life, OMFG, dont' think i'd ever admit to how much, but is it my fault, yes it is. Thats the difference, I know what portion of the blame i'm willing to take, and i'll suffer the consequences of my actions. Some people tho, its everyone elses fault, never an of their actions that have led to whats happened. These are the people that never have done anything wrong, its always someone else fault, and in their heads justify their actions saying well. they made me do that. To justify your lies and never seeing that you have done anything wrong, is passed on from generation to generation. They now make $24,000 a year above their salaries, averaging out to $147,000 a year, which by the way has risen by 34% since the year 2000. Never mind how many canadians don't even make $24,000 a year, but to make a total of $ 171,000.00 a year, holy shit, I wanna be a M.P. Conservative MP Dave Batters says he lives in a hotel at 89.00 a night, that works out to about 2700 a month, surely you can get a one bedroom apartment for less than that. What have we voted in this time. OMFG Stephan Harper ( yes I voted for you ) what happened. I remember you being a reformer, and being against the increase in M.P.'s wages and perks. Funny how things change once your in government. What is it really about, the people or you just get into politics for the cash???? June 24 President Bush, world trade center and all the lies.well been reading up on 9/11 you know the world trade center bombings, well I honestly believe it was set up by the u.s. governement. WOW. started looking at documents and articles on the web, and nothing is adding up to Bin Laden doing this. So who did, George W. Bush thats who, him and all his cronies in the government. Can you say hitler all over again. President Bush now has free reign to take over everything, and the americans are letting him do it. Just don't blame the americans, us canadians, and everyone else is letting him do this too. The only ones fighting this are the people accused of doing it. Lets look at some of the facts, the pentagon to start ok. it was reported that an airplane, i believe a 727 slammed into the pentagon, we're talking a 100,000 tons of machine, slamming into a building at 530 miles an hour, only to leave a small 16 foot hole in the outer wall, this plane was suppose to measure 40 feet high, a wing span of 140 ft, and a body length over that distance, but it slammed into the building, didn't even break any windows right beside the hole ( of 16 feet diameter), and burnt up so complety that there was no traces left of the airplane. Now for a few facts here, Jet fuel, while burning has a maximum tempature of 1288 degrees, this level is obtained only when substained for 40 minutes or more of continuious burning, in other words, keep pouring jet fuel onto the fire for 40 minutes and it will reach the 1288 degree mark. Now the plane that they say slammed into the pentagon was made up of titanium, steel and aluminium, titanium will only melt at 1600 degrees, steel will glow red hot at 2500 degrees and start to melt at 3000 degrees. Yet as the American government states, this jet fuel totally incerated the jet leaving nothing for investigators to find, funny how a 1800 degree difference required to melt steel is ignored. If a 100,000 ton piece of flying plane hit anything at 530 miles an hour, would it only leave a 16 foot hole, think about it.
Now moving onto the world trade centers. Now I'm no expert by any means, and there are experts out there that you can read up on that have alot more answers than I do, but explain some things to me. First, how does a 110 story building fall 110 stories in under 10 seconds. if you were to take a rock, through it off the top of the world trade center, it would hit the ground in just under 10 seconds. Thats gravity at its finest. Now the trade centers did the same thing, from start to finish both buildings fell in under 10 seconds each. Now remembering that each building is made of concrete and steel, and lets just say for arguments sake, as the american government wants us to believe, the top came down crashing onto each floor, thus breaking it, allowing it to go into the next floor down, and completly crashing that way all the way down. Now even allowing for a 1/4 of a second difference, meaning it takes a 1/4 of a second for each floor to break under the pressure of the floors on top of it to come down, because floors hitting floors would slow the progress down, over 110 stories, that adds up to roughly 28 seconds for each building to come down. Well over the 10 seconds it would take an object meeting no resistance to hit the ground ( get the picture yet )
Now, add in the fact the American government says that jet fuel melted the steel in the building ( yes that 3000 degrees that is needed to melt steel once again rears its ugly head, and jet fuel not being able to burn hotter than 1288 degrees, well I can't see the steel melting as they said. These are the first and only building constructed in the modern age, to collapse from fire. It's impossible for this to happen. Look up other building of similiar design, madrid in 2005 i believe it was, the building, something like 40 stories, burned completly, meaning every floor was gutted by fire, still stands, the steel never melted, and this building was burning for 2 days. The world trade center burned for an hour before collaping. The Seismic reading taken that day reveal startling facts, Siesmic activity is recorded only when it happens in ground, not above ground, however, when the trade centers fell, well jolts of 2.1 and 2.2 were recorded, can only happen when blasts from in ground detonations occur. Is that making you think yet? Let look at the other tower that fell, World trade center 7, owned conviently by the same person that 2 months previous had just leased the entire world trade center complex. ( will add here was leaed for 200 million dollars, and insured for 7.8 billion ) Well tower 7 was one of the furthest buildings away from the two towers ( other building closer were not owned by the same people )and had minor damage from the falling of the two towers, yet 4 hours later building 7 collapses, once again by fire ( so we're told ) later it was said the fire fighters " pulled " the building. This is were things really don't add up. If you watch the fall of tower 7, you can see it is being pulled or demolished on purpose, this is an admitted fact from the owner of the building, however, if you have ever seen a building demolished, you know it takes weeks of prep work to get it ready, how did anyone set this up in under 4 hours to take out a 40 story building, it can't be done in 4 hours period.
President Bush is a liar, plain and simple, something is terribly wrong with this story and the facts must get out. If you read all of this and agree, get the word out, and lets stop the worlds next Hitler before he can get any further.

Watching everything that is going on in the middle east, in Iraq, in afganistan, in Iran, and everywhere else the U.S. is sticking its nose into, hell no wonder there is wars breaking out all over. Now our Canadian government has decided to join the U.S. in the war in Afganistan, well while I agree they are our neighbours and allies there comes a time that you have to wonder if what your doing is the right thing. As we have free trade agreements with them, there is all kinds of problems even with that, softwood lumber disputes, even tho the tribunial said what they are doing is wrong, and that the tarriffs they have collected so far are to be given back, they haven't given them back. The weapons of mass destruction never appeared did they. Is it really about Saddam or more about the oil. Hell If the world trade center bombing weren't Bin Laden, I think I'd be pissed too, so watch the video and if you think its a reality, then pass it on, if you don't rebutt it, but I find it pretty convincing.
Moving on to Canadian politics. I have always be a fan of the reform party, now the pc's, and yes I did vote for them this year. However, I feel they have a lot to prove. What we need is a party that will stand up for canadians, not americans, not anyone else, lets stand up for canada and take care of canadians first. When you look at the problems in our own country, Natives in inadequate housing, unsafe drinking water, lack of education, millions of children missing meals, the poorer getting poorer and the rich getting richer. Why in gods name would we send millions of millions of dollars to some other country when we have so many problems at home. well thats it for this cowboy, have a good one. |
